Kortney Ross, representing Risen Performance, won the title in the women's elite section with a third-attempt clearance at 14-7.25 (4.45m) at the Vaulter Club Vaulter Magazine National Championships at the Big Red Barn in Sun City, Calif. Ross, who won the nationals tuneup July 18 at the same venue with a 14-2.75 (4.34m) clearance, produced the No. 2 all-time women's clearance at the facility. Only the national high school outdoor record of 14-8.25 (4.48m) achieved by Leah Pasqualetti of Orchard Park, N.Y., at the Vaulter Club Vaulter Magazine Big Red Barn Stars and Stripes meet June 27 is higher than Ross' mark.
