Taylor Starkey 1st Place Girls High School and 2nd Place Women's Elite Section - Vaulter Club Vaulter Magazine National Championships 2020

Recent Casteel High graduate Taylor Starkey, a Kansas signee representing Arizona Pole Vault Academy, won the title by clearing 13-1.50 (4.00m) on her second attempt in the girls high school section at the Vaulter Club Vaulter Magazine National Championships at the Big Red Barn in Sun City, Calif. Starkey prevailed on fewer misses throughout the competition, as she had five total misses compared to six misses for AZPVA teammate Samara McConnell, a Perry graduate and Ole Miss signee who also cleared 13-1.50 on her second attempt. Starkey returned to vault again in the women's elite section, placing second with another 13-1.50 clearance on her first attempt. More videos |
