Amanda Moll, Hana Moll and Ally Neiders, representing Northwest Pole Vault Club and the state of Washington, all cleared 14 feet (4.27m) to take the top three spots in the girls high school section at the Vaulter Club Vaulter Magazine National Championships at the Big Red Barn facility in Sun City, Calif. The trio became the first female athletes, let alone club teammates, in prep history to all clear at least 14 feet in the same competition. Amanda Moll, entering her junior year at Capital High in Olympia, achieved the 14-foot clearance on her first attempt to secure the title. Hana Moll, her twin sister, made 14 feet on her second try to place runner-up, and Neiders, an incoming senior at Holy Names Academy in Seattle, cleared 14 feet on her third opportunity to achieve history under coach Tim Reilly after all three athletes placed in the top four July 1 at The Outdoor Nationals, presented by Nike, at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Hana Moll won that meet with a 14-4 (4.37m) clearance and Neiders produced the first 14-foot performance of her career to finish second. More videos |
